Transitioning into Fall: OOTD & OOTN

September 21, 2011

Good evening! Tonight I want to share with you a couple of OOTN & OOTD so far from this week. The other night I went to a phone-a-thon for my high school and since there was dinner & drinks at a nice restaurant, I needed an outfit that would be both on the dressy side but also casual and comfortable. I decided to go with a pair of skinny jeans which can be appropriate for an evening out if they're a dark wash and you add accessories to dress them up. So being on a mission to make my outfit dressier, I added a black blazer I bought this past May from Target. I’m planning on using it as a transition piece this fall & pairing it with some of my dresses. I also paired my outfit with my favorite pair of black stilettos. What I love about these shoes is the platform on the sole of the shoe…it definitely gives support to balance out the very high stiletto heel which makes them easier to walk in. I also decided to wear a white pearl necklace to make my outfit a little dressier.

Here's the finished outfit:

Blazer: Mossimo by Target
Black T-Shirt: Philosophy by Republic (my favorite t-shirts!)
Jeans: Nine West
Shoes: Guess from DSW

And now for an OOTD. Another one of my favorite ways to transition my wardrobe into the fall is by adding tights to a sundress. That’s what I went with today since it was chilly this morning.

Dress: One Clothing (Macy's)
Tights: l8er Clothing (Department Store?)
Ballet Flats: Wanted (Stein Mart)

Purse: one of my Mom's old purses by Jennifer Moore (I LOVE quilted bags w/ chains...reminds me of a Chanel bag)

Bangle bracelets: H&M (they have the BEST cheap jewelry that's pretty good quality too)
Beaded bracelet: Charming Charlie's
Do you have any tips on transitioning your summer wardrobe into the fall? As always, thanks so much for reading and check back tomorrow for my first nail post!

Xoxo,
Ashley
